Embodied is intentionally structured to meet your nervous system where it is — and evolve as you do.

Month One begins with two acupuncture and somatic bodywork sessions per week, creating a strong foundation of safety and regulation. This early support helps interrupt long-standing stress patterns and allows your system to settle more quickly. You’ll also have one dedicated coaching session to orient goals and priorities.

Months Two and Three transition to weekly sessions, paired with monthly coaching check-ins, to stabilize changes, build capacity, and translate physical shifts into daily life.

Months Four through Six move into biweekly care, with continued monthly coaching support, allowing space for integration so the changes you experience become sustainable and embodied — not something you have to maintain through effort.

Care in Embodied is intentionally front-loaded and then gradually tapers to support both change and sustainability.

  • Month One:

    This work unfolds through the body over time. While relief can happen quickly, lasting transformation requires presence, consistency, and integration.

 

  • A purely cognitive or talk-based approach
    If you’re looking to analyze, process, or “figure things out” primarily through conversation, this immersion may not be the right fit. While talk therapy can be a valuable complement, our focus is on how thoughts, emotions, and life experiences resonate in the body—and how to work with those patterns at a level deeper than words.

 

  • Step-by-step protocols or rigid formulas
    This is not a standardized program with identical experiences for everyone. The work is responsive, intuitive, and guided by what your body is ready for.

 

  • Outsourcing your healing
    This work supports your body’s innate intelligence. If you want someone to “fix” you rather than guide you into deeper self-regulation and awareness, this immersion will feel frustrating.

 

  • Avoiding the body

Embodied is a six-month, in-person immersion designed to provide consistent, personalized care over time. Because of the depth and frequency of support involved, this program is intentionally limited to 2 women per quarter and offered by application only.

The investment for Embodied starts at $7,900.

This includes acupuncture and somatic bodywork sessions, extended sessions with integration and coaching support, personalized herbal and nutrition guidance, support between sessions, and priority access throughout the six-month program.

You may choose to pay in full or enroll in a monthly payment plan. All payments are securely processed through Jane.

Embodied is best suited for women who are able to commit to a more intensive level of in-person care in the first month, followed by weekly sessions in the next phase and biweekly support thereafter — and who feel ready for a deeper level of engagement to support meaningful, lasting change.

Is this a membership?

No. Embodied is an exclusive, 6-month, application-only immersion program, not a membership.

It has a clear start and end, a defined structure, and a specific intention: to help you relieve stress and anxiety, build resilience, and feel more at home in your body over time.

Is this talk therapy or mental health treatment?

Embodied is not psychotherapy or counseling, but it does support mental and emotional well-being through a different — and complementary — lens.

In Chinese medicine, mental and emotional health are not treated as separate from the body. Anxiety, stress, mood changes, and overwhelm are understood as expressions of the whole system — nervous system regulation, digestion, energy, sleep, circulation, and the body’s ability to recover from stress.

Through acupuncture, somatic bodywork, herbal medicine, nutrition, and the Inner Alchemy methods we teach, we help support the physiological patterns that underlie how you feel — not just your thoughts about those feelings.

Many women find that while psychotherapy helps them understand why they feel or behave the way they do, embodied, somatic care helps them actually feel better in their bodies. The two approaches work exceptionally well together.

We actively encourage our patients to engage in psychotherapy if it’s supportive for them. Acupuncture, somatic bodywork, gut and nervous system support, and the practices taught in Embodied can deepen and accelerate the benefits of talk therapy by giving the body the support it needs to change.

Embodied is not a replacement for mental health care — it is a powerful complement that helps integrate insight into lived, embodied experience.

Do I need to already be a patient to apply?

No. Embodied is open to both new and existing patients.

What is Somatic Bodywork?

Somatic bodywork is a hands-on approach that works with the body’s nervous system, fascia, and sensory awareness to help release stored stress and tension patterns.

Stress doesn’t just live in the mind — it’s held in the body through muscle tone, posture, breathing patterns, and connective tissue. Somatic bodywork helps your body feel safe enough to let go of these patterns, rather than forcing change through effort or willpower.

This work is gentle, responsive, and guided by what your body is ready for. Many women describe feeling lighter, more grounded, calmer, and more at home in their body — often noticing changes in pain, anxiety, digestion, or sleep as their system unwinds and reorganizes.

How Does Acupuncture Help?

Acupuncture works by influencing the body’s communication systems — including the nervous system, connective tissue (fascia and the interstitium), muscles, and hormonal signaling.

The interstitium is the fluid-filled network that surrounds and connects cells, tissues, nerves, and organs throughout the body. It plays a key role in how information, inflammation, and mechanical tension move through the system.

When stress is chronic, this network can become restricted, contributing to pain, inflammation, and dysregulated signaling between systems.

What if I need to miss a session?

Consistency is an important part of how this program works, and we also understand that life happens.

If you need to miss a session, you’re welcome to make it up within 60 days of the original appointment, based on availability. Sessions not rescheduled within that 60-day window are forfeited and cannot be carried forward or refunded.

This policy allows us to honor both the structure of the program and the depth of care each participant receives, while still offering reasonable flexibility.

How quickly will I feel results?

Many women notice meaningful shifts early on — sometimes within the first one or two sessions. This can look like feeling calmer in the body, sleeping more deeply, experiencing less pain or tension, or having a greater sense of ease and clarity. Sometimes, noticeable or lasting transformation takes longer. 

Early changes are often a sign that your nervous system is responsive and ready for support. However, lasting transformation happens through consistency and integration. Embodied is designed to take those initial shifts and build on them over time, so improvements become more stable, resilient, and sustainable — even as life continues to present stress.

Some changes happen quickly. Others unfold gradually. Both are normal, and both are supported within the structure of the program.

Can I use insurance for this program?

Embodied is not eligible for insurance reimbursement.

This program is designed as an immersive, personalized experience that goes far beyond what insurance-based care allows.

It includes extended sessions, coaching and integration time, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, between-session support, and a coordinated arc of care over six months — elements that insurance does not cover or recognize.

By remaining outside of insurance, Embodied allows for:

  • longer, more flexible sessions

  • care that adapts to your unique needs rather than billing codes

  • deeper focus on prevention, integration, and long-term change

  • freedom to address the full mind–body system, not just isolated symptoms
